was sick for some time, and had sickness in his family, consequently there was not much doing during that time.  That was in December last.  During the past month they got along finely.  The Trustees were advised to build a Two story house so as to have a hall above for a lecture room &c. &c.  I think it will be a very nice building.  The Undertaker, Thomas U Lease of this place, told me the other day, that by the time it was completed, it would cost about $800.00.  How soon does thee think thee can let them ^have the $300.00, due from the Freedmens Bureau?  It would be of great advantage, could they get it soon, for their credit is upon a strain.  Please let me know how soon they will be likely to get it.  Respectfully, thy Friend
