Washington D.C. Third Auditor's Office Treasury Building May 20th 1869 Rev. John Kimball, When I moved out of the Barracks, Corner 17 and 9 on Friday last, I sent to you a verbal message by Mr. John Lynch, stating that I had no longer any use for the school furniture. But I think I had better send you a written notice. I left the key with Mr. Lynch and left in the school room twenty double desks. Large stove, and three Black Boards. I left, these, quite a number of Benches that were furnished to me, by the society, but, as I never expect to use them again, you can dispose of them as you please. Respectfully, L.M.E. Ricks
