Calls attention to a former letter about the Maryland schools and states that in answer to it some money had been sent to [[underlined]] Mr. Ware [[/underlined]] of Balt., and several schools added thereby. 

Speaks of free school for poor whites, which she had established at the suggestion of Genl. Armstrong at Hampton and states that there is need for more suitable rooms. Appeals to the Bureau for money to pay rent of 10$ or 12$ per month.
