This is to inform you that I was present at the exhibition, given by Miss M. L. Hoy on Tuesday, the 3rd inst at Sharp St School House, Prince Frederick, Calvert, and must say, as one who has had considerable experience in getting up exhibitions among the rising generation, and as a Teacher, that, (to say the least,) great credit is due to Miss Hoy; And when I take into consideration the condition in which she found those poor ignorant little children, in the fall of 1868, which has not been two years yet, I must here say that (credit) is no expression of the name she merits, as the instructress of those benighted ones. I was also present at the hour, when during the exercises, one of the Trustees came in, and spoke in a very rough and insulting manner to Miss Hoy, concerning) matters which should have been discussed at a Trustee meeting, and not on that occasion, nor before strangers.
