OFFICE OF SUPERINTENDENT.
Alexandria, Va., ^[[Dec'r. 31.]] 186^[[5.]] [[/preprinted]]

Rev'd. John Kimball.
Supt. Schools. D.C.

Sir:-
I transmit herewith the School Reports from this city for the month ending this day with the exception of that of the 2nd School of the N.Y. N.F.R.A. (M. F. Sluby) — the principal of which is in Delaware, sick. It will be forwarded as soon as possible — will be about the same as report for Nov'r. in your files.

The schools of Miss Marion Simms (col'd.) and Mrs. C. Richards have died natural deaths and are not much mourned. Their scholars are absorbed by the 3rd & 5th Schools of the N.Y. N.F.R.A. — reported this month for the first time.

Very respectfully
Your ob't. serv't.
