John Kimball
My friend
I have a letter from my friend of Phila, he had to write to Balt & get a special order from Maj. Genl. Hancock (which was delayed in reaching him) ere the desks &c. could be sent. He has everything now "rightside up," & has forwarded them to thee, care Maj. Genl. Rucker (D.H.), Wash, D.C. & he thinks they will arrive safely this week. They number 30 or 35. Should be glad to have an acknowledgement of their safe arrival &c. from thee. Hoping thee is well and the cause is prospering &c.
I am with regards thy friend.
