Washington Nov. 20th 1865. Rev John Kimball Sir Will you please return the Papers I have on file at your Bureau addressed as below.— My school commences at The Soldiers Free Library Wednesday evening next— I wish to know if Books are furnished by the Bureau at reduced prices— or must they be secured as usual at Book Stores? Which do you recommend - The National or Freedman's Reader?— Please enclose a reply with the returned Papers Whenever you desire. I am ready to engage in teaching on the Sabbath — Wherever you deem best — but should prefer to have my School in the Afternoon— Very Respectfully Yr Obt Servt [[signature]] Mrs. Marie B.
