Dear Sir - The use of the buildings, lately the Freedmen's Hospital in Fourteenth Street, having been accepted for School purposes by the Associations which I represent - namely the New York National Freedman's Relief and the Pennsylvania Freedmen's Relief - to be occupied mainly by the teachers and Schools of the first-named Society - I respectfully request, in behalf of these Associations, that the following additional improvements be made at the public expense, in order to put the rooms in a suitable condition for the purpose intended:
