use were a part of those removed from the Quaker church when it was taken for hospital purposes, and were at first borrowed, an order being given for them, but the Society were afterwards satisfied for them, when the house was turned back, to remain for the purpose of schools and meetings. I may wish to conduct a class of men acting, or designing to act as teachers, preachers, &c., to enable them to systematize their powers and make their services more efficient than they otherwise could.

But I will not detain you with these matters, but present them as suggestions for your consideration, and approval.

I should send this through this office but Chaplains [[Fenn?]] and [[Burkoy?]] are both at Washington.
