Rev. John Kimball.-

Dr. Sir.-
I have been so unwell that I have not been able to visit our Schools at Alexandria, Va, and Frederick, Md.: hence, I am unable to furnish you with a complete report of all the schools under my Superintendency.

I have been north for the last six weeks, and am depending upon letters treating of the schools in general, for the information that I [[underlined]] am [[/underlined]] able to give you; excepting the 1st & 2nd mentioned in the report.

The School at Union Bethel Church, M St. Bet. 15 & 16th [[strikethrough]] Has [[/strikethrough]] has registered 244 schools, but owing to the [[underlined]] unfitness [[/underlined]] of the building many have left for more comfortable quarters. If we had a comfortable school-house in that vicinity, we could keep it well filled with Scholars. We rent this old shed of the Trustees of said Ch'h, for $6 per. month; but they will neith repair it nor suffer us to do it & deduct the amout for rent.
