Bureau Refugees, Freedmen & Abandoned Lands,
Alexandria, Va., ^[[January 3rd]] 186^[[6.]]

Rev. John Kimball
Supt. Schools. D.C.

I transmit herewith the report of the 2d School of the N.F.R.H. of N.Y. — in Alex'a.

About twelve (12) Blackboards are needed here in the several schools, — they were promised long ago but never have been sent.

You could spend a day among the schools in Alexandria, very profitably, I think.

Very respectfully
Your ob't. serv't.
