Mr. Kimble.
I have not heard one word from the New York Com' since Lt Clark was here.

I wrote to S.H. Bake and she expected me to remain until I hear again from her.

My letters are delayed so that I dont know what to think. Does thee know whether the Ass' intend me to teach here longer. I am willing to stay this month out without remuneration if it must be. I"ll do that for the

Md. Lt O Brien tried to stop my letters going and has detained some. I tell this to thee so till he gets clear off I don't feel safe But Mr. Elliot is a friend to me. He will send me my letter Please do not up my name on the outside of it.
