I have inquired, in regard to schools for Freedmen in the vicinity, and find that there has been (until last week) a school kept at Hyattsville, by a colored man, which has been discontinued on account of the mans having removed from the place, so that at present, there is no school kept in this vicinity.

All that is wanted to reestablish the same, is a teacher. If one can be sent, a school can be put into operation, at which there will from 50 to 75 scholars.
