Dear Sirs:

I have just returned from Gerradstown. We had a large and interesting meeting. Some five whites attended. Much interest was manifested by the colored people and upwards of a 100.$ subscribed towards the erection of a school House. A number of Whites are friendly towards this measure, and with the amounts guaranteed the Board will have no difficulty in erecting the building. The [[Manda??]] case has been posponed ten days.

Very Respectfully
