We are nicely fixed in the new Schoolhouse. The temporary desks which were fixed at first have since been used to make a railing around the pulpit for church purposes. And now we are worse off for writing conveniences than in the old place. Major Henry said thee was going to send us some desks soon. I write to ask if we can have them this week  We have nearly 30 children who write in books, and do not know how to manage without desks. If it suits thee to send them we will be so obliged to thee.
