Mr Kimble,

I received thy note to day. Am glad thee is coming out. I think Firstday will be the best time as the women and all can go and hear what they ought to do. About our stove.  It was premature trouble.  It smoked so determinedly in the log hut, that I thought of course it was its nature, I was stupid enough to not give it a trial in our new house when thee was there. I had written to the Com. before

it was put up and we had not tried before thee came, as it had only been fixed a couple of days. But since it has been used before well.  So ([[?]] good Com. sent me word to day I could have a new coal stove 12 feet of pipe and a ton of coal.  They are splendid but as if [[?]] are loss, I sent [[may be several words below, but not legible]]
I don't know whether to put [[Tobbaco?]] in ore not. They seemed to draw back on account of it so I [[thought?]] maybe it would be best to begin only with [[drinks?]] and get more signers & then [[afterward?]] have a tobacco pledge. I don't know tho.
