Uniontown D.C. Dec 9th 1867

Rev. John. Kimball

My Dear Sir
I called on Saturday to see you but failed to do so. Have you secured a lady teacher for this field? Dr G. spent a half day last week in visiting my Schools and expressed himself [[strikethrough]] as [[/strikethrough]] much pleased with them all. He regrets closing my School here and transferring me to the Barry Farm but sees no alternative unless your Society will support a teacher.

By the beginning of the New Year our Schools here at Good hope will be crammed and there are certainly enough scholars on the Barry Farm for our large School.

If [[?]] is next, I will try to get the Colored people to do something towards her supports

Very truly
