Reports for the information of the Asst Commissioner, that he has visited Piscataway and Vicinity of this County and found the freedmen doing quite well and all employed.

At Piscataway they have purchased a lot of land for School purposes & have made application for the lumber to errect a School house.

At Oxen Run, Mr [[underlined]] Hatton, [[/underlined]] colored, has given land and they are ready to errect a School house as soon as they can get the lumber.
