H143 R.F.A.L. Vol. 11. 1867 Point Pleasant, Oct 2/67 Vol. 3 #422 A.C.D.C. 1867 Harper, W.W. States that the colored people bought a lot and deeded it to ^[[insert]] trustees for use of [[/insert]] the M.E. Church. These Trustees lease the same to the Board of Education for 25 years, understanding that they are to build a School house thereon to be used for Church purposes when unoccupied by the School. [[underlined]] Mr. Gilmore [[/underlined]] objects to the arrangement on the ground that if he does build, the $200 promised from the Bureau will not be given to them.
