Col. Jno Kimball,

Dear Sir:
We cannot pay the salary of any more teachers than we have at present.

We have now waiting at the office two white ladies who have agreed to teach without pay; all they ask is to have their [[strikethrough]] salary [[/strikethrough]] board paid.

Now if you can make provision for them at once, in comfortable quarters, I will forward them to the point named by you.

Very truly Yours
