I respectfully ask that eighteen dollars ($18.00) be paid to John Wells a poor unfortunate colored boy, for taking care of the School House Cor 17" & I Sts. & the one on 19" St bet Pa Av & I St. during the months of Feb March & April 1867. The work performed is well worth the money.
