salary of the teacher.  In some of the places, part or all of the salary will be paid by the colored people, or (in West Virginia) by the Boards of Education. All of theses houses are, or are to be, in West Virginia, Maryland and Washington Co. D.C.

Most of the places will require colored teachers.

I am able to nominate most of the teachers needed if their salaries can be paid.

The Baltimore F.R. Association have agreed to furnish some six teachers in addition to those furnished by them last year, but they have just informed us that they can do no more, and the six they will furnish are engaged to places which I have not mentioned above.

I do not know where to look for teachers unless the Northern Societies come to our aid.
