Kind Friend,
I did not return to Washtn as I at first intended, but went direct to Balt from Va. & I now find myself with my aged friends whom I had already named to you. They are more comfortable than I expected & are so interested in the work of edctng the Freedmen, that they consent to my return to Washtn the coming Autumn.

Will you be kind enough to take the measures necessary, or state to me what they are? Perhaps to simply inform you, is all that is requisite. 

I would like very much to step in this P.M. & see how your little fam. is - please remember me very kindly to your wife & also to Mrs. Denison - & to any of my former
