Respectfully returned to Rev John Kimball, with the information that Rev. W. D. Harris of Georgetown has a lot here but does not intend to reside here until next Spring or Summer

He is not doing

Missionary work here except by his example as a good steady man, & whenever he says anything is said on the subject of elevating his race he does not fail to speak.

He has a church in Geo town, but complains of the inadequacy of his salary.

He has taken the contract to plaster the School House, & has offered the use of his own house here for the Teacher to be sent by the A. M. A.
