General Howard after a long and troublesome negotiating, we have succeeded in makeing an arrangement for a House for the Freedmens School  the title will be all right  $350 is the price  $150 repairs will make a capitle situation for them  I think that we have lost nothing by being slo  they first asked $500 for it and we have the colored school going on in the vestibule of the church where you spoke  I learned indirectly from Mr True Blut that you had become uneasy and wished to know what had be come of me  I have to work slow and easy to over come the oposition hear which I am doing as you would hardly think
