employees, predominately women, through individual and group meetings at organizations inside and outside of the Washington metropolitan area;

sponsoring a lecture for all employees on "Maximizing Your Potential Abilities and Strengths";

meeting with organization unit heads to assess the status of women in their units, discussing opportunities for career advancement of women and encouraging supervisory involvement in the employment, training and advancement of women;

participating in job fairs, seminars and conferences sponsored by women's organizations to expand knowledge of employment opportunities at the Institution;

participating in community outreach activities with minority, women's, and disabled persons organizations, local schools, colleges, and career fairs to promote interest in and enthusiasm about Smithsonian exhibitions, educational and research programs and career opportunities; and

placing recruitment advertisements in publications that reach women.
