worked anywhere and everywhere. On one such date in Michigan the late Bill "Bojangles" Robinson was on the same bill. He became interested in Sammy and personally took him under his wing for some extra tutelage. Of course, the success of Sammy Davis as a nightclub performer is legion. Perhaps it was best summed up by the New York Times which commented on his last appearance at the Copacabana prior to rehearsals of Golden Boy. "He has such overwhelming talent and such a wide range of it that if a patron can put up with the formidable adversities of getting into the Copa, he will see a performance that will be remembered when most others are forgotten."

BILLY DANIELS, Eddie Satin – Was born in Jacksonville, Florida and during the depression had to leave his pre-law studies at Florida Normal College to go to work to support his parents. He chose show business. Part of his formative years was spent as a singing waiter at Dickie Welles' Place in Harlem, then as a vocalist with the Erskine Hawkins band. Following his stint as a band vocalist, he went out on his own and scored successes in such famous New York night spots as the Onyx Club, Ebony Club and the Famous Door. World War II interrupted his career when he joined the Merchant Marine. When hostilities ended, Billy returned to the nightclub circuit, fronting a revue at the Savannah Club in Greenwich Village. Shortly thereafter, Billy landed a two week engagement at the exclusive Park Avenue Restaurant and the two weeks were extended to fifty-six weeks and Billy was on his way. Then came an engagement at Ben Marden's Riviera where Billy captivated audiences and nightclub critics. From there he went on to stardom in radio, theatres, recordings, television and movies. He has played record shattering engagements at the Palladium in London, toured Scandinavia and has probably played to the world's largest audience – 100,000 people assembled in a football stadium in Australia. Equally successful in the recording field – "That Ol' Black Magic" has sold more than 6,000,000 copies.

She landed a job in the chorus of the Damn Yankees road company. Back to New York in ten months, she made her Broadway début in the 1957 edition of the Ziegfeld Follies. After a stint in the City Center production of Wonderful Town, Paula landed a small role in Say, Darling. she spent the next two years in summer stock, television and in two notable off-Broadway productions – Hi, Paisano and Girl Crazy.
