Well, here I am, again dishing the dirt and giving the low-down on the famous and infamous. Ethel Waters is the toast of the town as "Hagan" in "Mambas daughters", in the cast are Willie Bryan . . . Alberta Hunter, Anne Wiggins Brown, Georgette Harvey and Fredi (Peola) Washington . . . Billie Holiday's silver foxes et. al. sneft into town for her "dress" opening at the "Off Beat" on the Gold Coast—Jean Brady is the song thrill at Mike Delisa's Club and Canada Lee of the "Mamba" cast was tops, completing the social register and show folks.

Mitz's and his liquor dealer made a small fortune, for drinks flowed on an on ... Ella Fitzgerald opened at the "Terrace" with a bang, this gal is 'tops' take it from me... 
Trevelle Holmes of the Penthouse fame, is to be married again ... Norton of the ex-team of Margo and Norton, shares the Penthouse with Holmes ... both charming men about ... Arthur Simpkins (Georgia boy) is to open at Singland if, and when, it opens ... The recent death of Mrs. Helen Thomas Williams removves from out midst one of the truly great persons of our time, my deep regrets to her sister Florida Thomas Fanford and family.

Clinton Williams and Willis Avery spotted at the Ritz Cafe in Morgan Park ... I wonder why Willie Mays Jr., mortician of Augusta, Georgia, can't find time to answer my last letter to him? ... Peggy Galloway, the dancer, writes beautiful poetry, some of which has been published in the "World's Fair Anthology" ... Rev. Mable Simmons has a lovely set of silver foxes that are the most elegant in bronzeville ... It is always uplifting to listen to the Rev. Cobbs broadcast, tune in on the networks on Sunday nights ... Audrey Lyles is back from Harlem and is a "red-head" ... Maurice McGhee was Marva Louis guest in Detroit for the recent Louis-Pastor bout ... William (Bill) Garrett, handsome playboy, at a certain nite spot, "what happen?"

The CELEBRITY roster this week in the niteries were: John Henry at the Cabin Inn, George Lee Hill, Louis Crawford has some new togs ... Charles Owens back from the "motor city" ... Talley Beatty and Katherine Dumbar is busy getting their ballet ready for its New York concert.  Bill Attaway the young author of the best seller "Let Me Breathe Thunder" was in town for a few days from Harlem... The handsome creole who answers to the name of Waugh, is one of the best dressed lads about town and is the life of any party ... Carl Allen is so thrilled, I wonder? ... Dorothy Hunter

is in her new "pilts" ...Jimmie Johnson is a solid lady killer ... Floyd Perry sporting new togs and has a new haircut ... Morton Brown has some french heels ... shoes, cute, eh? ...George Hawkins played out and did a fade-a-way to Harlem ... brick bats to Clem Jordan, Morton Brown and Ollie Polk ... Bobby Jones of Peoria gave a gay party, recently-celebs were there by the dozens and drinks flowed like the "river of Jordan" ... Clarence Stigall is expected home from "Smoke-town" soon ...So this about ends my "merry-go-round" for this month as I am fixing to dash-away to Detroit over the week-end. But next month "watch my dust" because this town is smoking with "dirt galore."
