Ans.  About 3 years.  His character is as good as ordinary.

Ques. by Pros.  Did you ever hear Mr. Maulsby say anything about negro testimony?
Ans.  I have heard Mr. Maulsby say that he would not believe any colored man on oath.

Ques. by Def.  Have you never said that you would not believe a colored man on oath?
Ans.  I have not.
