Moses Hooker "Freedman" appeared and plead guilty to the foregoing complaint and said he worked for one James H Beal and was to do anything he James H Beal required that he and one Peter and Wesley Freedmen got the two ^[[Bales of]] cotton and took it to the house of Mr Beal and that Mr Beal took care of it

The Court do therefore find the said Moses Hooker "Fred" Guilty of stealing cotton and does therefore sentence the said Moses Hooker to pay a fine of Ten dollars also Imprisoned for the term of Thirty Days.
