Redirect examination.
I know nothing about Doct Holts costumes in regard to his young negroes  the costume I speak of prevaled during the days of slavery, which the negroes refused to submit to last year. I dont know whether Doct Holts negroes refused to submit or not.

Orange (Colored) being duly sworn testifies as follows. I was one of Doct Holts former slaves. I worked with him last year. after I was set free I worked with him from the first of May until the end of the year. I was forman among the field hands, and led the flock in making the corn crop. I worked at harvesting wheat and oats and in mowing. I helped sow the wheat and plow it in, in the fall of last year. I am thirty six years of age. I have a son Boston thirteen years old, he worked on the plantation of Doct Holt from May 1
