Gentlemen:

I take pleasure in sending you under separate cover a recent issue of American Art Sales, and wish to call your attention to the improvement we have made in this publication beginning with the current volume. It now includes the Decorative Arts as well as Painting, Sculpture and Prints. We have also reduced the price on the seven monthly issues, December to June, from $20.00 to $10.00.

At the request of a few of the more important museums and private collectors, we undertook twelve years ago to report concisely and accurately the facts the collector needs to know about works of art sold at auction in this country. This service originally designed for and limited to a few is now being offered to other collectors as well as to reference libraries on art and to individual students who require such information as we publish. This information is conveniently and completely accessible only in American Art Sales.

As you will see by the enclosed folder, our publication in its new form has been commended by a very distinguished list of subscribers. If you can make use of this service we shall be happy to number you among them.

When you have an opportunity to look over the copy of Art Sales I am sending you, will you be so kind as to let me know your wishes. I shall, of course, appreciate any comments you have to make.

Yours very truly,
[[signature]] F. A. Whiting [[/signature]]
President.
