November 17, 1932

Gentlemen:

I am sending this letter to the addresses of all known purchasers of the American Art Annual for the last three years, and am hoping to receive promptly enough advance orders to justify us going forward with the publication of Volume XXIX, to be issued in late January or early February, 1933.

This volume will contain the biographical directory of etchers and other graphic artists as well as the directories of museums, schools,, etc., and the usual review of the year in art and summary of art sales.

We have had to discontinue the publication of American Art Sales for the current year, so that there will be no opportunity for combined subscriptions with the Art Annual, as in the past.

The list price of Volume XXIX on publication will be $10.00, discount to public libraries and Members of the Federation 25%, net $7.50; but advance subscriptions will be received at the special price of $7.50 if remittance accompanies the subscription order. Former subscribers who have not already secured Volumes XXVII or XXVIII are offered the opportunity to complete files in connection with advance prepaid orders for Volume XXIX, but at these reduced rates remittance must accompany orders and orders be received before December 15, 1932.

VOLUME XXIX (to be issued Feb., 1933)....$7.50
VOLUME XXIX and VOLUME XXVIII (year 1931)..$12.50
VOLUME XXIX, VOLUME XXVIII,and VOLUME XXVII. $18.00

As a decision about the publication of Volume XXIX must be reached soon I should appreciate a prompt return of the enclosed order form.

Yours very truly,
[[signed]] Frederic Allen Whiting [[/signed]]
President.
