June 16th, 1938

My dear Miss Roullier:

As both Mr. de Hauke and Mr. Seligmann are now in Europe, your letter of June 13th addressed to Mr. de Hauke has been handed over to me.

Upon his return from Chicago, Mr. de Hauke posted me on the exhibitions which we would send to the Arts Club next January. Inasmuch as we, ourselves, are going to have a series of four exhibitions, namely:-

BRAQUE Oct. 17th.to Nov. 4th.
PICASSO Nov. 7th.to 25th.
JUAN GRIS Nov. 21st.to Dec. 10th.
LA FRESNAYE Dec. 5th. to 24th.

it is quite possible that Mr. de Hauke confused Picasso and Braque as referred to in your letter of May 24th.

I believe that you can be reasonably assured that we will send out Braque and Gris and not Picasso and Gris, and to the best of my knowledge, Mr. de Hauke will obtain many of Mr. Braque's newer canvases while he is abroad this summer.

Your letter of May 24th was forwarded to Mr. de Hauke in Paris, so that perhaps he has written you directly from there. If not, you may consider this letter as official and I, accordingly, would appreciate a confirmation of the terms and dates as mentioned in Mr. de Hauke's latter of May 18th.

With cordial greetings,

Believe me to be

Yours very sincerely,

(Robert M. Levy)
