John Wells  has deed & right of sale of part lot no 12 Cor 10th & F St north side of F. Mrs Lee asked Wells to publish for sale one of her lots (part of lot no 12) whole lot 12 by 80 ft In order to pay off expenses incurred by carpenters in building Wells when requested to sell the lots ask her to let him have them so as to get the dimension of the lot. She objected. He answered that they would be just as safe as if she had them. She then consented. She then asked his conditions of sale. He said fifty dollars with the understanding that this fee of fifty dollars was to come out of the proceeds of the sale. Wells advertised the lot for sale but did not like it it being too small an amt to sell Wells wants the men who built the house to get the Carpenters to force a sale of the house that he may get his fee of fifty dollars and also a fee out of the carpenters for selling the house again for them.

Carpenter named Jno Billingen  Bet & 7 No 54 Louisiana Av owes them $250. they have his [[?]] note for 250 The whole building was to be finished for $900 The 1st payment to be paid when the roof was finished 2 weeks (Roof is not now finished)
