On the preceding evening, Sunday, January 31, 1988, the traditional Regents' dinner was held in the National Air and Space Museum in honor of Dr. David Challinor. After dinner the Secretary rose to welcome the guests and to speak briefly about the new vision which Director Martin Hewitt has brought to the Museum. He then introduced the Chancellor who paid honor to Dr. Challinor and presented to him the Henry Medal, as approved by the Board of Regents at its May 11, 1987 meeting. The Chancellor also read and presented a citation which had been prepared in handsome calligraphy.
