[[underlined]] Office of Horticulture [[/underlined]]

Deaccessioning usually occurs only from duplicate and division orchids or from less than display quality seedlings. These specimens are deaccessioned to a local grower who credits the Office of Horticulture with 50% of retail value against the purchase of plants and supplies.

The Smithsonian Registrar reports that the remaining collecting units within the Smithsonian (the Freer and Sackler Galleries of Art, the National Museum of African Art, the National Portrait Gallery, and the Archives of American Art) did not deaccession any objects or collections during the period under consideration.
