[[stamped]] Report for 1895 [[/stamped]]

1. HOW HAS THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 1895, COMPARED WITH THE PREVIOUS YEAR, AS FAR AS (1) THE NUMBER OF ACCESSIONS AND (2) THEIR SCIENTIFIC VALUE ARE CONCERNED?

So far as number of specimens entered are concerned the year 1894-95 stands unequalled, with a total of 1093 specimens, thus even exceeding 1891-92 with 1055, the year in which the collections from the Death Valley Expedition were entered. The scientific value of the specimens received this year fully equals that of the previous years. On the whole it must be said that the character of the addition of late years in that respect have been exceedingly gratifying.
