About 1350 specimens have been entered in the [[strikethrough]] register [[/strikethrough]] catalogue during the year. These specimens have for the most part been placed in bottles, after having been identified and reported upon, labelled and put in their proper places.

A specimen of [[underlined]] Haplochiton zebra [[/underlined]], new to our collection[[strikethrough]] s [[/strikethrough]], was sent by Lieut. W. M. Wood, from Puerto Bueno. Numerous collections made in S. America by W. E. Safford, & Señor Don Josè Arechavaleta were received and cared for.
