Office Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and abandoned Lands for Robeson Co.  Lumberton NC Sept 16th 1865
This indenture made and entered into between [[first name?]] M Grogan of the one part, and the undersigned Freedmen of the other part
Witnessith that the said freedmen have agreed to work for said M Grogan from the 27th day of April 1865 till the first day of June 1866
To William twelve bush. of corn.To Virgil the same
The [[word?]] laborers to do all kinds of work common to the farm of the Country, to work ten hours each day faithfully, and be respectfull in their deportment. The said M Grogan agrees to furnish the said laborers comfortable quarters sufficient rations of food and clothing and ordinary medical attendance
