Bureau of Refugees Freedmen &c
Head Quarters Sub district of Robeson Co
Lumberton  Sept 28" 1865

This agreement entered into between D. McCormick agt of Mrs Nash of above county ^[[insertion]] of the first part [[/insertion]] and the freedmen & women undersigned of the second part, witnesseth that the said McCormick agrees to give them the following wages.

To King and family 50 bushels of corn and his hog, food & shoes and medical attendance for himself, wife and son.

To Peter 15 bushels of corn 6 gallons syrup food and clothing and medical attention.

To Ellen 10 bushels of corn, food clothing and medical attendence.

To Auza 10 bushels of corn, food, clothing and medical attendence, 

till the 1st of Jan 1866 and they on their part agree to serve truly and work 10 hours per day with the same respect which they did when they were slaves.
