This indenture made and entered into between Archd. McRae Sen of the one part, and Mace McRae a colored Freedwoman of the other part. Witnesseth that the above named Archd. McRae, agrees covenants and by these presents binds himself to let lease bargain unto the said Mace five acres of the field commonly called, the Rye field, on which the ^[[insertion]] said [[/insertion]] A. McRae agrees to remove the house now occupied by said Mace to have and to hold during the period of the said A. McRae's life, if she chooses to remain on the same, and if not then these presents to be null and void. Providing however the said Mace works, labors ^c with and for the said Arch. McRae exclusively, for such wages as are commonly given to laborers of her Class in the community in which both live. The said A.
