No hot water and late to work. Beautiful walk with Mrs Derby and Mary Hale  Peabody's To lunch and Forbes.  No go. Left right after. glad to get back. Nap and called at Wolcott. proposal by her! [[underlined]] oh. chaperone [[/underlined]]. Nice Dinner at Walkers Cramp. Then to Perkins.

To Gloucester alone at 10.45. Lunch at Belmont and walked out to G.A. Saw Garland Looks too big. Lathing begun Cumings called.  Short and stormy.  Back to dress for gray dinner. Delightful. Sat between T. Coolidge and Mr H. Parkerman. Note fr A.P.A. asking 19.
