[[underlined]] Cold [[/underlined]]. ^[[Cumings in AM. about chimney working about. To lunch A.P.A. Free talk and studio - Paint Aunt E. R on train at 4.30.  Tel fr A.P.A no N. Hill, but they came after all eve. Kal. played. Very nice.]]

^[[Lovely Morning. K and I to sea & rocks.  Then wonderful hour reading with her and Aunt E. by the door stop.  Lunch for A.E. by l.room fire Then at 2.  K and I to R.R to dinner - jolly time fire extinguishers - but very far except one l. on rocks.  Rouse & Watson later.  Very sleepy eve.]]

^[[R left. and I with Rouse to see his works.  Then wrote.  Calif. Bird Minnie Garland & Lane at chimney.  Painted A.E. Rouse & Watson - advice and Tea.  Much relieved about planting.  Alone with A.E.]]
