Got ferns and did fence with C's much fuss about ticket.  H.C.G. at lunch time very nice. Finished fence.  By fire - with Aunt E. He read previous speech.

H.C.G. went.  I took some photos of Aunt E. Dreadful to have her getting away.  Oh.. Anna packing.  Cold.  but we keep warm easily.  Stove went.  Letter from [[underlined]] M'Clennan [[/underlined]].

Helping for Aunt E. all day - at 3.30 they went.  Oh, how bitter to have her go.  We did all we could to do it well.  pd. Anna $25, gave $5.  Met Uncle W in Boston. Supper at S. Station took 7.10.  Long getting back.  Had B. no washing

Worked in studio and I saw Garland.  Coglin took chair. A P.A. tel's that he was coming to lunch almost came in train last night.  If I had tried [[underlined]] then [[/underlined]].  Went over with him after and heard [[underlined]] Victor [[/underlined]].  Supper alone & helped, but working resting at 9.30 tel'd but had gone to [[underlined]] Rouses [[/underlined]]. Ok.

Last sunday at G.A. working and alone all day. Two tels from H.C.G. Heard?.  Lunched alone and worked.  At 4 telephoned - down - & at 5.30. 3 came in cross.  I said "Now I have found my level."  Look at door and question when to be at Ludlow.  Rouse & Clark din

Worked & saw Garland.  H.C.G. came and helped  Very tired but to Rouses to dinner.  Clark there.  nice time. bed  tired.  getting colder
