much better in the afternoon I went.  Netta drove out with me in the victoria with my pair and one man, and it was a lovely drive.

Mo & L. Warren and I went off and we sat a while on the beach and made stones jump in the water, and talked bosh a lot of the time but I think we all enjoyed it.  Then we went back to where the others were, having tea and already they were all sitting down at the tables under the trees.  We sat down too, there were 18 of us altogether

counting Mr & Mrs Taylor, and it was great fun.  Somehow as far as I was conserned everything went alright.  Then we went into a shed there and got weighed and we made a good deal of fun out of that.  After this Mo said: "Let's go and see the [[?]]", and we wandered off.  It was delightful.  Mo & I always have lots to say to each other and we had even more than usual it seemed to me that day.  Then at quarter to six we drove home.  It was twilight.
