We went in together swam out quite a little distance and then came back.  We were in the water not more than fifteen minutes, but it was delightful.

As we came out I said "Do you want to race again Mr Cushing?"

"No, not to-day", he answered. "I want to dry myself thoroughly".

"You want to prink", I said "Who is it?  Confess, who are you going to see?".

"I am not going to see anyone but you", he said laughing.

It happened that I was ready before him, so when

I saw him coming out a few seconds after me, I gave a little jump and clapping my hands cried "Ho ho", which made him laugh.

Then while I was putting on my gloves he told me just when he was going to be here and when he was going away.  And I said "I will see you at the wedding to-morrow" and he said:

"No, I am only going to the church.  But I am coming to see you if I may to say Good bye".

"Yes please do", I said

"Are you home Sunday afternoon
