Then on Monday I got violets from him and he wrote on his card asking me if he might come the next day.  Tuesday he came at 5.30 and stayed till 7.30  Thursday he came again but Mama stayed all the time though his visit was over an hour and a half.  He was coming on Sunday but was blocked in Abany and sent a telegram, also wrote Mama a letter saying he had taken a bad cold and must stay in two days, would come

Wednesday.  So Wednesday he came late, G. Stokes, Alonzo Potter and Mr Harrison had been.  Mama only stayed a moment - - - - -

That night I could not sleep.  From 1.30 to 5.30 I lay and thought and my thoughts would not let me sleep.

February 17th 1895.

Wednesday Mr Sands asked if he might walk up from Esther Hunt's (he knew I was going to see her) with me.  I said "yes", I thought I was going [[?]] see Saturday.
