Well yesterday I thought of course he would come, but he did'nt - Monday H. Robbins, B. Van Courtlandt and Otis Post called, Tuesday J. Laurence had a solitary visit of an hours duration, Thursday Mr Harrison came but the person I had expected did not put in his appearance  Again I knew I would find some word from him & again on the sofa I found a box of flowers.  White roses this time, all snow white.

The letter that accompanied them said a business note had prevented his coming.  I did not believe it.  He wanted to see if I cared, thats why he did not come.  He will call to-day.

In this interest I forgot almost to tell you of other friends who have been nice to me.
