Our first American mail arrived last Tuesday, other letters came Wednesday and to-day another mail has just come. Two letters from Esther I have had. One letter which finished the comedy or tragedy, which ever you choose to call it, I told you about a few pages back. I can't exactly say I was surprised to get a letter, but I was surprised at the contents. Its over, but we will still be friends.

To-day I expected a letter from Mr Sands but none came. Absence makes people forget there is no denying that. Oh well I don't care that is all. Its not worth
